What is ScrapIt?
ScrapIt is a private app for keeping photo memories — with captions, stickers, and personal details — and sharing them directly with specific people you choose. There is no public feed, no followers, and no algorithm.
Is ScrapIt public?
No. ScrapIt doesn't have a public feed, follower counts, likes, or discoverable profiles. Your memories aren't searchable by strangers. Everything is private by design.
Who can see my memories?
Only you — and anyone you specifically choose to share a memory with. Sharing is always a direct, intentional action you take. Nobody else can see your memories.
Does ScrapIt collect my location?
No. ScrapIt never accesses your device's location services. The "place" field you can add to a memory is just free text you type yourself — it's not GPS data.
Does ScrapIt use any analytics or tracking?
No. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the ScrapIt app. We don't track you across apps or websites and we don't use your data for advertising.
How do I share a memory?
Open the memory in the app and use the share option to send it to a specific person by their email address or username. Sharing is always direct — the recipient gets a private copy in their own account.
Can someone I shared with re-share my memory?
When you share a memory, the recipient gets their own private copy. That copy stays within their private ScrapIt account. ScrapIt is not designed for public re-sharing.
How do I remove a shared memory?
You can remove any memory that's been shared with you from your own view at any time — just find it in your app and choose remove. This removes your copy; it doesn't affect the original in the sharer's account.
How do I report a memory or user?
Use the in-app report option on the memory or profile in question. You can also email us at [email protected] for anything urgent. See our Community Guidelines for a full explanation of what happens after a report — we commit to acting on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile or a memory they've shared, and choose the block option. Blocking is immediate and stops all future sharing from that person. The blocked user is not notified. You can unblock them at any time in your settings.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile or Settings in the app and tap Delete Account, then confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes your photos, memories, and all account data. Full details — including exactly what is deleted from Clerk, Cloudflare R2, and our database — are on our Delete Account page.
How do I request data deletion if I can't access the app?
Visit our Delete Account page and follow the "Request deletion without reinstalling the app" instructions, or email us directly at [email protected] from the email address connected to your account with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We'll process it within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
